But where do you start? Here are some main tips below for selecting a helmet. But don’t stop there! There are many resources out there to consider. Helmet Selection Tips:
- Protection and comfort should be your main priority! Color and designs should come later. Many different types of helmet coverage range from a full face, three-quarter, and open-face. Guess which one provides the most protection? If you selected full-face you are correct!
- Get a size that fits! Use a chart like the following one to help guide your helmet selection. Measure your head at the largest point which is the point above your eyebrows. Check it a couple of times to make sure you have received your largest measurement. If you are between sizes, contact the manufacture of the helmet you are looking at for more guidance.
